Vision

To expand and strengthen the emergency healthcare system in Nepal

Mission:

To work within the WHO’s emergency healthcare systems framework to improve pre-hospital and in-facility emergency care in Nepal

Objectives:

-To assess the current state of the emergency care landscape in Nepal

-To conduct and promote research in emergency medicine in Nepal

-To establish avenues of intervention for identified gaps in emergency healthcare

-To advocate for the expansion of appropriate and evidence-based emergency care at the policy level

-To promote evidence-based standardized education in emergency medicine across the country

-To increase the number of quality trained emergency providers and leaders in Nepal

-To create a platform for national and international stakeholders' collaboration to improve the emergency systems framework in Nepal

-To conduct or help conduct basic emergency medicine-related courses like BLS, ACLS, ATLS, POCUS, and other relevant basic training that is required to become an effective emergency physician, EMT, or emergency department staff, including nurses, EMS staff, and community-based volunteer paramedics, community health volunteers.
